In Term 1 in Year 10 English you will be studying

• a novel
• creative writing
• language skills
• essay writing

You will begin with a novel study which will mean reading and detailed contemplation of features like the characters and themes of the novel.

You are required to maintain a Reading Journal and a Writing Journal; in separate exercise books please. You will be given tasks to complete in these journals each week of the term. Journals will be collected on a regular basis to be marked; these marks will contribute to your report results in English for Semester 1 and Semester 2.
